Futures by Design Inc. is passionate about helping people find the resources they need and assisting them in taking the 'next step' in their career journey.

Futures by Design Inc. works with organizations such as Alberta Employment, Immigration and Industry and Youth in Motion to organize career events for a variety of audiences. Previous events have focused on:

• Baby Boomers
• Immigrants
• Persons with Disabilities and
• Youth

These interactive events strive to connect participants with information and services to assist them in finding employment.

A Nonprofit Career Learning Day for Youth is planned for the spring of 2008 with Alberta Employment, Immigration and Industry, Bow Valley College, First Calgary Savings, The Calgary Foundation, University of Calgary’s Communication and Culture Department and Youth in Motion as partners.

Futures by Design Inc.'s president, Lynn J. Berry, has almost 10 years in the career development field. She has an Honours Degree in Recreation/Business Option from the University of Waterloo and a Certificate in Career Development from the University of Calgary.

Lynn has taught Youth Career Development and Career Practitioner's Toolkit courses at the University of Calgary in the Career Certificate program. She also works on-call at Bow Valley College's Career Connections as a career coach with a variety of clients.

Lynn has been involved with The Career Show as Program committee chair for the first two years, Building Tomorrow Today (BTT) Alberta's career development consultation's program chair and on the Career Development Association of Alberta (CDAA) executive for several years.
