Futures by Design Inc. is passionate about helping people find the resources they need and assisting them in taking the 'next step' in their career journey.

Futures by Design Inc. works with organizations such as Alberta Human Services and Youth in Motion to organize career events for a variety of audiences. Previous events have focused on:

  • Baby Boomers
  • Immigrants
  • Persons with Disabilities and
  • Youth
  • Individuals in conflict with the law

These interactive events strive to connect participants with information and services to assist them in finding employment.

Futures by Design Inc.'s
President, Lynn J. Berry, has over 10 years in the career development field providing one on one service, group facilitation, event planning and program management services. She has an Honours Degree in Recreation/Business Option from the University of Waterloo, a Certificate in Career Development from the University of Calgary and is working on a Certificate in Intercultural Studies from UBC. Lynn is also a graduate of Leadership Calgary and Retire to the Life You Design Program.

Lynn has a multi-track career working with a variety of organization such as Alberta Human Services, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Bow Valley College, GlobalFest, InsideOut Group, Spread the Love, Youth in Motion. Lynn is also the Co-Chair of the 21st Century Learning Leadership Forum – an innovative connection for those interested in creating a Learning Society http://21centurylearning.ca

Previously Lynn has been an instructor at the University of Calgary in the Career Certificate program, Program Committee Chair at The Career Show, Program Chair for Building Tomorrow Today (BTT) Alberta's Career Development Consultation's and on the Career Development Association of Alberta (CDAA) executive for several years. Lynn is the recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal awarded for ‘making a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community and to Alberta’.
